What is the Diocesan Communicator Symposium?

The Diocesan Communicator Symposium (DCS) is an immersive, rigorous continuing education experience specifically for communicators who are working for Catholic dioceses

The 2026 DCS, to be held on the new campus of Augustine Institute in St. Louis, Missouri, will be a tightly structured four-day, three-night experience with no more than 10 diocesan participants.

The DCS is offered at no cost to diocesan communicators, who will only need to cover their transportation to and from the symposium site.

What topics will be discussed?

With opportunities for prayer throughout the day, our professional development topics at the 2026 DCS will include:

  • Strategic communications in an apostolic age

  • Best practices in digital communications, including AI

  • Media training and crisis communications strategy

  • Staying connected, grounded, and faithful as a diocesan communicator

  • And more!

“I know firsthand of the good and faithful work of Katie Pesha and her team at KP Consulting Group. KPC’s Diocesan Communicator Symposium is a wonderful fruit of their commitment to the Church’s ongoing efforts to be missionary communicators and evangelizers. I strongly recommend the Symposium for diocesan communicators around the country.”

Most Reverend Mitchell Rozanski
Archbishop of St. Louis

“The KP Consulting Symposium offers a unique opportunity for Catholic communicators to gather, share wisdom and experiences, and take a deeper look at the challenges and opportunities we face in promoting the Gospel. Whether you are new to the field or have years of experience, this Symposium will help you gain a greater appreciation for your ministry and strengthen your ability to assist the Church and your ministry in proclaiming Jesus Christ.”
